This month's The Fringe Off style collaboration kicks off with a 'boho festival' theme. The summer months mark the start of festival season and time to think about style inspiration thats both practical and fun. Boho is a big current trend this summer, with every shop producing their own designs to cover the trend featuring detailing such as crochet, fringing, all white, cheesecloth fabrics, bell sleeves, suede, denim and flares. The boho trend embodies a 70's vibe which is carefree and floaty. You certainly don't have to search far for inspiration.
Sian from Style With Friends has created a hippy feel to her boho look, focusing on paisley prints, statement jewellery and finishing off with a 70's floppy hat. Perfect for sheltering from the blazing sun or heavy rain, you never know what to expect in England!
I layered a bell sleeve crochet detailed top from H&M over the top of a lavender crochet dress, which I found in a charity shop last year. I love the clash of the mustard yellow and lavender colours, a twist on the usual all white boho look. I've added tan clogs found from a charity, which can be taken off when walking bare foot on muddy fields. The look I've created is more for a day festival rather than a weekend camping trip. Just add boots and the look is easily adaptable.
Look out for next months edition of The Fringe Off and if you have any theme suggestions or want to join get in touch! We are currently looking at people who have expressed interest to join and will be in contact soon. Trixie from The Trend Trap will be back next month too.
