Charity Shop Bargains

With two or three bank holiday weekends now been and gone, we only have one left to look forward to in a couple weeks. If your anything like me, you would have made the most of last weekends bank holiday! On Saturday I had the most amazing charity shop day I've had in a long time, picking up amazing bargains at a steal. I needed a coat as my usual one is starting to need sewing up, but I certainly didn't expect to find one coat let alone three! I bought three coats for a fiver each! Compared to in the high street where a coat can cost up to £90 now! The Navy and white coats are slightly big for me but I can easily get them taken in, a great tip for when hunting. Just because something doesn't fit, doesn't mean it cannot be adjusted or the shoulder pads or straps cannot be taken off. You could be missing out on something amazing!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the yellow and black checked coat, as I had seen a similar one on Urban Outfitters for £48. It reminds me of Cher from the film Clueless, a film I grew up with and a something that seems to be so popular right now. I also found a broderie anglasie top and crochet dress, which will help me through the summer months ahead (if we see any sunshine!).

The last things I found on my charity shop hunt, are books. I've always wanted to read a Stephen King book, so I picked up a collection of short stories written in the 80's. The first story is The Mist which I have just started reading, was made in to a film a few years back. The other two books may surprise you. I am a secret fan of anything UFO and alien related. I've always been fascinated with the paranormal from a young age, since watching episodes of cult TV show Strange But True. Look it up, it's very addictive stuff!
