It's been a while but now The Fringe Off is back! Three new bloggers have joined me and Sian from Style With Friends to grow our monthly blogging challenge. Let me introduce:
Charlotte from Captain Charley
Jamie from Petite Panopy
Karolina from Purpurowa Karuzela
The challenge this month is to style the traditional Christmas jumper, something that can only be worn four weeks of the entire year! Christmas Jumper day (18th Dec) is coming up tomorrow and we show you how to style your festive knits in each of our own styles.
I created my own Christmas jumper by using an old white Monki jumper with silver sleeves that has a tea stain on the front. I've been so sad I haven't been able to remove the stain (I've tried everything!) so thought I could refresh the jumper with new life by sewing festive bells and snowflakes to jazz up the stain. I chose a colour scheme of silver, icy blue and baby pink nothing too bright and in your face, the problem you often get with traditional jumpers.
I chose to style my jumper with a minimalistic paired down look, focusing on monochrome and keeping accessories simple. The black lace dress from H&M adds smart causal vibes along with the gorgeous new black suede Daisy Street shoes. I sewed the feathers on to the shoes as I'm loving the fluffy shoe look right now. The sheepskin bag adds a needed contrast to the look and carries on with the Winter festive style.
Apologies for the low quality images this month, I stupidly forgot that it gets dark early now it's Winter at like 3.30pm! I shall plan images earlier in the day.
How have you styled your Christmas jumpers this year? I would love to see your outfits!
