The high street's favourite department store has launched an AW14 style challenge for bloggers, based on six of AW trends. With the chance of winning £1000 of Debenhams vouchers, I chose an AW trend that best fit my own personal style and created an outfit of my favourite Debenhams items from the trend. I also had to pick a fellow blogger to create an outfit for, out of the trend that best describes their style. I was nominated by the lovely Sian DiCiantis of Style With Friends and I have chosen the Pastel Palette trend for her.

I chose the Modern Military trend as I love to incorporate texture in to my wardrobe and the trend is full of various prints and fabrics to help you look good throughout winter; without loosing style or warmth. Moc reptile skin effects adds something extra to standard smooth leather accessories, giving a luxurious feel. Touches of gold hard wear featured on the accessories, break up the black outfit adding class and a contrasting tone. Layering up the roll neck top ensures you can keep warm and not risk exposing a lacy bra at work. The shirt could also be unbuttoned and worn lose as a kimono style jacket.

For Sian, I chose the Pastel Palette trend as it reflects her delicate and fun personal style. Embracing feminine silhouettes with an edge, Sian's style boldly creates shapes with her take on flared skirts and dresses. I think the checked pinafore dress is something she would wear as it features a a pretty embellished peter pan collar; the finer details are what define Sian's style.

Pastel blues and pinks are the main colour theme within the trend, reminding me of Sian's dip dyed blue hair a while back! Pastel pinks complement the outfit in the form of a mannish oversized coat, a style she has been seen in on Style With Friends. The pastel pink tones of the brightening power, will enable Sian to get that healthy rosy cheek glow she always seems to have! She could also use the powder individually as eye shadow, as she always has impeccable make up not afraid to use eye shadow unlike me! I included a white waffle knit jumper as Sian seems to have a knack for a two piece; she could instantly transform the outfit by putting the jumper on with the collar peeking out. Two Sian outfits in one: a cute casual two piece and a feminine smart look!
