End Marmite Neglect Advert 2013

Love it or hate it, Marmite's new advert is dividing opinions across the nation. Whatever your opinion, the advert is genius. Tackling a product that divides it's consumers just based on taste alone, the advert adds fuel to new debates; due to the documentary style of 'RSPCA' TV shows. I think the issue is the word 'neglect'. Neglect is a serious issue that can never be seen in a positive light and Marmite have tried to throw a positve angle, specifically on the sensitive issue of animal neglect. It's beyond me to think why anyone would even want to treat an animal in a bad way. Based on the advert alone, I think that animal neglect probably wouldn't be seen in a positive manner after watching it. Of course there is always that risk.

Marmite Mission Statement
'Unloved and forgotten, thousands of Marmite jars across the UK are being neglected. This year alone, over 1 in 10 Brits admit they haven't opened their jar in over three months.

We've launched an urgent appeal to prevent cruelty, alleviate suffering and promote kindness to all Marmite jars.'
