Feminine and pretty, Kate Spade showcased lady-like for the modern woman in her presentation in New York. Simple pencil skirts and blouses toned down washes of pastel prints and slight pops of floral. Satin fabrics were matched with ruffles and neon pastel jewellery. Hint of blush were added to the cheeks alongside slicks of eye liner that defined the eyes and hair neatly pulled in to a bun high on the head. The most interesting part of the presentation was not just the clothes, but an accessory. Books were held to complete the look, coordinating with outfits and creating intelligence in the 50s influenced collection.
